Limestone the stone of the moment ! Over the past few years we have seen the increasing popularity of this stone . Its cool homogenous look is always so impressive.
However you really do get what you pay for . Some limestone's are very porous and have low crushing strength and density values . This adds up to a floor that may scratch and retain dirt more readily.
Our range of limestone's are all class 3 limestone's (class 1 low density, class 2 medium density , class 3 high density) according to the ASTM C568-96 test. This also requires a maximum water absorption of 3% and a compressive strength in excess of 550kg/cm,
They are suited to all applications from domestic use to heavy commercially trafficked areas . Some such as Iberian Gold are hard enough to be flamed a finish normally associated with granite.
Being so hard these stones are difficult to quarry and process at every single stage , thus if you are after a very low price you are in the wrong place ( try our travertine for the best price to performance ratio) typically these stones cost between £38.50m2 and £62.75m2 please email us for a full quotation and availability .
